Before I began RV'ing in 2000, I had no idea the Corps operated hundreds of campgrounds across the country, allof course on rivers and lakes and at avery reasonable rate of $20 average. Many of us though, including myself can stay at half price as well as get free entry into all Nat'l Parks, Monuments etc, run by the Dept Of interior. What used to be the Golden Age Pass for seniors over 62 and costs one lifetime fee of $10, and the Golden Access Pass which is free and for permanently disabled Americans(your VA card, regardless of % is proof) has been replaced with the "America the Beautiful Pass Program" which also has the Access Pass and Senior pass. AS with most changes by the Govt, this one has a small glitch to it. Though accepted by the Corp at their campgrounds, the pass can only be obtained at Dept of Interior locations.
