I add a new page called enyertaing the troops. I hope you will add your favorites to the list. The USO has done so much in helping to get these entertainers in the war zone and it's great to see this being done in Iraq.

I received the information at the below URL from a Marine Vietnam Veteran this morning. I had never heard of this terrible situation before. It made me very sad, and then it made me very mad. When you open the URL and get past the car commercial, and then to the gist of the matter in the report, it should make you sad, and then very mad, too. At least, if you are a God fearing, patriotic American citizen, it SHOULD.
Now that this is out in the open maybe something can be done to remedy the situation. This is going out to every veteran, every serviceman, and every relative and/or friend of a Veteran and/or serviceman I know.
We have plenty of time to send the corny jokes and the silly hoaxes back and forth all the time. This weekend and the days to follow let's send the below report around the United States of America instead. It will be going out to each one in my address book. http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?aid=67740&sid=138863&bw=hi&cat=70
Trooper 6768 C-Troop 1/4 Cav. 1st. Infantry Division Vietnam 67-68 US.Army 66-70
This is so so SAD! Our Government made us a promise….and let our comrades down in previous wars…I hope that every one of the families sues our Government………..This is so SAD!

Lakota Instructions for Living
Friend do it this way - that is, whatever you do in life, do the very best you can with both your heart and mind.
And if you do it that way, the Power Of The Universe will come to your assistance, if your heart and mind are in Unity.
When one sits in the Hoop Of The People, one must be responsible because All of Creation is related. And the hurt of one is the hurt of all. And the honor of one is the honor of all. And whatever we do effects everything in the universe.
If you do it that way - that is, if you truly join your heart and mind as One - whatever you ask for, that's the Way It's Going To Be.

AMA CONCERNED ABOUT NEW THREAT TO MOTORCYCLE SAFETY TRAINING FUNDS

U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters is urging Congress to allow states to divert federal money now used for motorcycle training and awareness to instead promote the use of motorcycle helmets, the American Motorcyclist Association reports.
Peters sent letters to House and Senate leaders this week asking for the change.
Ed Moreland, AMA Vice President for Government Relations, expressed concern that diverting federal motorcycle safety funds to promote helmet use could harm rider training courses and motorcycle awareness programs that are already underfunded in many states.
"Helmet use is certainly one part of a comprehensive approach to motorcycle safety," said Moreland. "But this step is a direct raid on funds that were appropriated by Congress to address the specific safety concerns of the motorcyclists' rights community. Furthermore, the use of motorcycle helmets is already advocated in existing motorcycle safety initiatives.
"Funding for rider-training courses is frequently under threat in cash-strapped states, and cutting the same-size pie into thinner slices is not the comprehensive, thoughtful, national motorcycle safety strategy we need."
Moreland also expressed concern that Peters' proposal could contradict sections of transportation bills passed in 1998 and 2005 that ban the use of federal motorcycle safety funds to lobby state legislatures in favor of mandatory helmet laws and could effectively reverse those bans.
The AMA strongly advocates the voluntary use of helmets by adults, along with other appropriate safety gear, and does not oppose laws requiring helmet use by minors. But the Association believes adults should be allowed to make their own decisions about when to wear a helmet.

Before I began RV'ing in 2000, I had no idea the Corps operated hundreds of campgrounds across the country, allof course on rivers and lakes and at avery reasonable rate of $20 average. Many of us though, including myself can stay at half price as well as get free entry into all Nat'l Parks, Monuments etc, run by the Dept Of interior. What used to be the Golden Age Pass for seniors over 62 and costs one lifetime fee of $10, and the Golden Access Pass which is free and for permanently disabled Americans(your VA card, regardless of % is proof) has been replaced with the "America the Beautiful Pass Program" which also has the Access Pass and Senior pass. AS with most changes by the Govt, this one has a small glitch to it. Though accepted by the Corp at their campgrounds, the pass can only be obtained at Dept of Interior locations. View website http://www.store.usgs.gov/pass/ for more info and locations. By the way, all previously issued Golden Age/Access cards will still be accepted at all locations. Cottage Publications sells a book entirely devoted to Corp of Engineer campgrounds. It can be ordered at http://www.cottagepub.com/images/ or at most camping supply stores. We've saved hundreds of dollars staying at these clean comfortable campgrounds over the years and you can to. Happy camping!

I have receive several suggestions and have adopted them by making some changes to the site. First I have change some of the navigation in hopes it is more user friendly.I have swapped Events and the calendar around. If you click on Events besides seeing the events list in the threads at the bottom of the page you will see the Calendar of events under Events in the navigation near the upper left side of the page. Also, I have added several organizational pages that our members belong to under Members Pages. Additional I have added a Rving/Camping page with Camping photos under that. Keep the suggestions coming. I am planning a photo contest in the near future. Special Thanks to Mike K, Jim for their posting new threads and their suggestions.

A biker is riding by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has seen the whole scene, and addressing the biker, says - Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life. - Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right. - Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's papers will have this on the first page. What motorcycle do you ride? - A Harley Davidson. The journalist leaves. The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on first page:
BIKER GANG MEMBER ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH.
